Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Come down the Chamber (819 Commercial Avenue) to celebrate the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree. The town crier, Santa Claus, students from Anacortes High School, Fidalgo and Island View will enrich this celebration with performances. Free pictures with Santa after the lighting. Hosted by the Ferndale Heritage Society, this event takes place at Pioneer Park. It includes cabin tours, horse drawn wagon rides, pictures with Santa, arts and crafts and refreshments. Holiday Harbor Lights & Christmas Tree Lighting

Come on downtown for a festive holiday celebration viewing Snowman, holiday decorations by local businesses and community groups as they participate in the "Winter Wonderland Holiday Display Contest." Prizes are handed out for the best decorations. Santa shows up for the kid's and boats in Blaine Harbor sail around the harbor with their holiday lights. Makes for a wonderful festive day. "Twas the Lights before Christmas" is the theme of this year's Lighted Boat Parade. The Swinomish Yacht Club will set off for its traditional run from the Port of La Conner, turning south along the La Conner waterfront and ending up in Shelter Bay. This annual event increases in participation and popularity each year! Get your spot along the Swinomish Channel early as you won't want to miss this.
