Sherman Farms’
market offers a full range of fruits and vegetables including their own specialty squash and beans. It is open seven days a week l0 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting in May through October. It is located on the outskirts of Coupeville along Ebey Road. Bell’s Farm is located on West Beach Road north of Coupeville. There you can find strawberries from mid June to mid July. Greenbank Farm
on Wonn Road just north of Greenbank, farmer’s market shoppers who can’t make the Saturday markets can still stock the fridge and cupboard with locally grown goods. Open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays starting in May and running until mid October, this market hosts vendors selling flowers, vegetable starts, organic produce, crafts, local spices and nuts. The market also hosts periodic family events and demonstrations. Produce isn’t the only draw of the markets. Island artists display paintings and pottery to accent a local home or remind visitors of island time. Soap and candle makers vie with jewelers.
